Three out of three: IZK keep a perfect record in Botola Pro 2
Trailing Olympique Khouribga at half-time, IZK turned the match around at the 18 November Stadium (2-1), with goals from Ahmed Chentouf and, in the closing minutes, Issam Benouahi. After Khénifra and Stade Marocain, that makes three wins from three matchdays: nine points out of nine.
The evening started badly. On Saturday 10 October, in matchday 3 of Botola Pro 2, Olympique Khouribga took the lead in the 33rd minute through Hassan Fares, and IZK went in at half-time 1-0 down in front of their own fans at the 18 November Stadium.
The Zemmouris hit back straight after the break: Ahmed Chentouf equalised in the 49th minute with a long-range strike. Khouribga, who finished the match with ten men after a second-half sending-off, gave way in the 89th minute to a goal from Issam Benouahi, who won the match for the club.
With three wins from three matches, two of them away, at Khénifra (1-2) and against Stade Marocain (0-1), IZK have nine points, five goals scored and two conceded. They share top spot with US Yacoub El Mansour, who beat Soualem 1-0 in the same round on Sunday and lead on goal difference.
Next up: matchday 4, away at Olympic Safi, on Sunday 18 October.
